Growing up, I was always bigger than the other kids in my class in every way: fatter, taller, and with bigger feet. I never had a sense of what being “normal” was like, so when I started to care about the way I dressed, I didn’t have a lot of options. All of the clothes I wanted to wear I was already sized out of. Being plus size for me isn’t just an industry term that I proudly support, it’s a way of life. I’m passionate about helping women get dressed in ways that express who they are, and using their voice to be represented in an industry that so often has no interest in listening. The “plus size” debate is growing tired. Who is, who isn’t, who can speak on our behalf, and why we even need the words “plus size” are all topics in constant media rotation. While the entertainment industry keeps handing the microphone to women who are pushing the boundaries of what it means to be beautiful (in […]
Lately I’ve been feeling very 90s-inspired. I’m wearing chokers every day, reaching for the same sheer ASOS shirt, and living in the only pair of ripped jeans I’ve found to ever fit me. Usually I’d consider this a style rut, but all of these choices have been very deliberate. I’ve purchased no less than four […]
